Ingredients:
- 3 lbs pork shoulder, cut into chunks
- 1/4 cup achiote paste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Juice of 2 oranges
- Juice of 2 limes
- Corn tortillas, for serving
- Your favorite taco toppings onions, cilantro, salsa, etc
Instructions:
Put garlic mince, cumin, oregano, salt, black pepper, orange juice, and lime juice in a blender
Add the achiote paste and blend until smooth
Mix until its smooth
Spread the pork pieces out in a big bowl and cover them with the achiote sauce
Put the meat in the fridge with the lid on for at least two hours, or overnight for the best flavor
Turn on your oven and heat it up to 325F 163C
Place the pork that has been marinated in a baking dish
Cover with foil and bake for about 2
5 to 3 hours, or until the pork is soft and can be easily shred with a fork
Take the pork out of the oven and use two forks to shred it
Toss the pork shreds in the tasty juices
Warm up the corn tortillas and put the Yucatan Shredded Pork on them to make tacos
Add your favorite things to the top of the taco
